The 85th annual conference of the Northwest Scientific Association will be held March 26-29, 2014 at the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana.
This conference is jointly hosted with the UM College of Forestry & Conservation - Distinguished Plum Creek Lecture Series. Together we will explore The Future of Forests & Forest Management: Change, Uncertainty, & Adaptation.
This conference is supported by many sponsors:
Montana Wetland Council, U.S. Forest Service, Northwest Lichenologists, The Center for Riverine Science and Stream Re-naturalization, Natural Resources Damage Program, Montana Department of Natural Resources & Conservation, and Kestrel Aerial Services, Inc.
Dr. Steve Running & Dr. Richard Waring are our invited banquet and keynote speakers.
Oral and poster technical sessions, workshop, and field trips will address a broad range of topics and issues in the natural and applied sciences. Please consider attending the meeting to learn about scientific research in northwestern North America and present a paper or poster to share the results of your on-going work.
The NWSA has a strong history of supporting student research and our meetings provide a great venue for students to interact with professionals. The NWSA offers student grants and reduced registration rates for students.
